Medium Word Search Game

Medium Word Search is the intermediate difficulty level on MemoryMatching.com. It uses a 10×10 grid - larger than Easy's 9×9 - and hides 10 words in four directions: left-to-right, right-to-left, top-to-bottom, and bottom-to-top. Words are longer than in Easy mode, drawn from a pool of common 4–10 letter English words, making them a little harder to spot.

The optional 3-minute countdown timer adds a satisfying challenge, but you can hide it at any time for a completely untimed game. Every game generates a fresh, unique puzzle. No two rounds are the same. As always, no sign-up, no download - just click and play on any device.

1. Study the word list. The 10 hidden words are listed in the panel beside the grid. In Medium mode all words are fully shown - no partial reveals.
2. Scan in all four directions. Unlike Easy mode, words can run left, right, up, or down. A word that starts at the top-right might run downwards or to the left.
3. Click and drag to select. On desktop click and hold the first letter, drag along the word, then release. On mobile swipe across the letters. The grid will snap to the nearest straight line (horizontal or vertical).
4. Watch the progress bar. As you find each word it is crossed off the list and the bar fills towards 100%. Find all 10 to complete the puzzle.
5. Manage your time. You have 3 minutes on the clock. Hide the timer in the settings panel if you prefer a relaxed game without time pressure.

Tip: Look for the rarest letters first - Q, X, Z, or J. They are easy to spot in the grid and can anchor the location of an entire word quickly.
