Number Match - Free Online Game

The Number Match game gives you a grid of numbers from 1 to 9. Your goal is to clear the entire board by matching pairs of numbers following two rules:

• Match rule: Two tiles match if they are identical (e.g. 8 & 8) or if they sum to 10 (e.g. 3 & 7, 1 & 9, 5 & 5).
• Path must be clear: The straight path between the two tiles must have no other numbers. Allowed paths: horizontal, vertical, diagonal, or wrap-around along reading order (end of a row to the start of the next).
• Add Numbers: If you get stuck, press Add Numbers to append all remaining numbers to the end of the grid and open new paths.
• Goal: Clear every number on the board in as few moves as possible.

A few habits that separate good Number Match players from great ones:

• Scan for obvious pairs first - look for 9+1, 8+2, 7+3, 6+4, and 5+5 in the same row or column before anything else.
• Check diagonals and wrap-around connections - these are easy to miss but often unlock difficult positions.
• Use Add Numbers sparingly - it opens new paths but also adds clutter. Only use it when genuinely stuck.
• Use Undo freely - there is no penalty. If a match creates a dead end, undo it and try a different order.
• Work from the edges inward - clearing the outer tiles first often opens more paths in the center.
